Gwent Hotfix for the Gold Immunity Update is Live!

Gwent got a huge patch last week, and with it came some issues. This Hotfix should alleviate most of the problem!

New hotfix for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.

With this update, our main focus was to fix all of major issues, which players were experiencing plus additional changes to gameplay, specifically for Scoia’tael and Skellige.

Cards which were significantly changed, will have increased value for milling for 3 days following the release of the hotfix. The cards on the list, when milled, will create an amount of scraps and powder equal to the amount of scraps and powder needed to craft a card of the same value.

The Gwent Gold Immunity update is now live! Check out the patch notes below.

As a side note, I apologize for the lack of updates. I was a bit bogged down, and was waiting for some updates to the game. This site is still alive and well, and I’ll be updating the Card Database as soon as possible!

New update for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
With this update, our main focus is to make gold cards more interactive and introduce friend matches on consoles. The update also adds 30 new cards, social features, in-game news and notification system to the PC version, and numerous gameplay changes.

  • Ranking points should now always refresh properly.
  • Fixed issue causing Out of Sync errors.
  • Possible fix for issue causing game to be stuck after Round 2 ends in a tie.
  • Fixed issue whereby improper values would be displayed for Unit Power.
  • Fixed issue whereby Weather effects would not display on the Board.
  • Fixed issue whereby cards would overlap after being moved between rows.
  • Experience points and rewards should now be displayed properly after matches.
  • Levels should now be displayed properly after matches.
  • Numerous tooltip fixes and changes, including those to indicate new interactions with Gold cards.
  • Fixed issue causing freezes after the end of a match.
  • Fixed issue whereby Skellige back of card graphic was missing in Deck Builder.
  • Fixed issue whereby some users weren’t able to join the season on X1.
  • Fixed issue whereby cards would appear with ##_NAME instead of normal names.

Gwent Weather Update Patch is Live! – Patch Notes

The new Gwent Weather Update is now live. Some cards have been nerfed, and for those cards you will receive full Scrap value, but if it’s Premium you will not receive Meteorite Powder for them. Those cards are listed below. The amount of Scraps you receive when milling Commons and Rares has increased. If you purchased Kegs with real money you will receive 30 Scraps per Keg.

If you’re having issues on the PS4, CDPR has issued this potential fix to the issue.

With this update, our main focus is to improve balance, solve some of the major issues that were affecting gameplay and adjust the prices for milling common and rare cards. Additionally, some cards will be subject to a limited-time refund (5 days) in the form of an increase in the amount of Scraps awarded for milling them (note, however, that milling the Premium versions of these cards will not award Meteorite Powder):

IthlinneDeploy: Play a Bronze Spell, Boon or Hazard card from your Deck, then Spawn a copy of it. Shuffle the others back.

Gwent Positioning Patch Now Available – Patch Notes

The new Positioning Patch is now live! You can now choose where to position a minion on a row, along with this huge change there was a ton of other card changes which are listed below in the patch notes.

Positioning Update

New Features

  • New Game Board: The game board has been changed to make it more legible and accessible.
  • Move History: Players can now review which cards have been played over the course of the match.
  • New Card Laying Mechanic: Card positioning has taken on a new dimension. Players can now choose
    exactly where on a row to play their cards, and many abilities now refer to a card’s relative
    position on the row.
  • Taunt System: Players can now communicate with each other using predefined “taunts” spoken by
    their avatar.

Neutral

  • Thunderbolt Potion now lets you choose 3 adjacent units and buffs all non-Gold units among them
    (positioning).
  • Dimeritium Bomb now affects 5 adjacent units (positioning).
  • Commander’s Horn now lets you choose 5 adjacent units and buffs all non-Gold units among them

Gwent Official Patch Notes for Patch 0.8.60.1 – Card Balancing and Bug Fixes

A new update has just been added to balance some cards and fix some bugs. Some of the big additions are strengthening Nilfgaard’s gold cards, and Clan Tuirseach AxemanVeteran 1. Whenever an Enemy on the opposite row is Damaged, Boost self by 1. Deploy: Gain 2 Armor.‘s ability now only works with units damage on the opponent’s side.

With update 0.8.37, our main goal was to address a set of important issues that have recently come to light, including the use of Mardroeme to get an auto-win after not choosing a target for the Mutagen card. This was not how we intended for the card to work and was something that required our immediate attention, because of the effect it was having on ranked play (players who abused this exploit have already been banned).

Other issues that have been addressed in update 0.8.37 include server errors caused by killing Morkvarg on 2 Strength and playing 3 Reinforced Ballistas and Redanian Elites. These actions should no longer cause the game to desynchronize.
