Gwent Official Patch Notes for Patch 0.8.60.1 – Card Balancing and Bug Fixes

A new update has just been added to balance some cards and fix some bugs. Some of the big additions are strengthening Nilfgaard’s gold cards, and Clan Tuirseach AxemanGain 1 strength whenever another unit on the battlefield is weakened.‘s ability now only works with units damage on the opponent’s side.

General / Neutral  
  • Avallach strength changed from 6 to 8.
  • Commanders Horn now adds +4 to a row.
  • Triss Merigold can now target both sides of the board.
Monsters
  • Ancient Foglet strength changed from 6 to 5.
  • Crones strength changed to 7,8,7.
  • Succubus strength change from 10 to 8.
  • Vran Warrior’s Strength changed from 5 to 6.
  • Succubus will now place ‘Agile’ units on the opposite row upon moving them.
  • Vran Warrior will not consume a unit right after being played.
Skellige
  • King Bran now discards up to 3 cards and adds +1 base value.
  • Svanrige now draws cards first and then discards them.
  • Draig Bon Duh strength changed to 4.
  • Draig Bon Duh in no longer Relentless.
  • Draig Bon Duh ability changed to: add 3 base strength to 2 non-Gold units in your graveyard.
  • Clan Tordarroch Armorsmith strength changed from 6 to 5.
  • Clan Tuirseach Axeman gets +1 strength for every damaged unit on the opponents side of the board.
  • Ermion will now draw 2 cards and discard 2 cards.
Northern Realms
  • Kaedweni Siege Support can now only be placed on the siege row.
  • Reinforcements will now be able to target all Bronze cards, even if there are no copies left in the deck
Scoia’tael
  • Added a 1 turn timer to Dennis Cranmer – will now reset all other non-Gold units on the row at the end of the round.
Nilfgaard
  • Impera Brigade is now boosted only by spying units on opponents side of the board.
  • Treason now adds +8 to a opposing spying non-Gold unit.
  • Mangonel strength changed to from 4 to  6.
  • Spotters now recieve +1 for each revealed card wherever they are.
  • Spotters strength changed from 5 to 4.
  • Nauzicaa Brigade now deals 5 damage.
  • Impera Brigade now gets +3 strength instead of +2 of every spying units
  • Sweers strength changed from 7 to 8.
  • Vanhemar strength changed from 7 to 8.
  • Cynthia’s Guardian strength changed from 8 to 6.
  • Menno Coehoorn strength changed from 9 to 10.
  • Xarthisius strength changed from 9 to 11.
  • Morvran Voorhis will not shuffle the deck after using his ability.
Game fixes / changes:
  • Fixed an issue witch Reinforced Trebuchet ability countdown continuing in the graveyard after if it’s removed from the board.
  • Fixed an issue with Regis not transforming into Higher Vampire.
  • Fixed a rare issue with using Treason on a damaged Cantarella: the card will not be moved to the graveyard anymore.
  • Tibor Eggebracht now gains base value strength and reverts to 7 once placed in the graveyard.
  • Fixed an issue with Roach and Foglets not coming back on the board when previously locked.
  • Fixed an issue with Pavetta destroying herself after using Alzur’s Double Cross.
  • Fixed an issue with Tuirseach Axemen recieving a massive amount of points after Dimeritium Bomb was used.
  • Tuirseach Axeman’s ability will not be triggered by set and consume effects.
  • Tuirseach Axeman’s ability will only be triggered by opponent’s units.
  • Fixed an issue with Skellige faction ability not working on Morkvarg.
  • Fixed an issue with Ele’yas recieving points for Commando Neophyte’s, which where moved with Drowners or Geralt: Aard’s ability.
  • Revealed ambush cards will be affected by Weather now.
  • Morkvarg should no longer recieve random strength values after being affected by weather and resurrected.
  • Harpies will no longer spawn eggs when pushed by Geralt: Aard.
  • Fixed an issue whereby Ceallach would be activated 3 times upon using Jan Calveit’s ability.
  • Fixed an issue whereby Dimeritium bomb would reset units’ to their base strength disregarding Weather Effects.
Game polishes:
  • Jan Calveit’s tooltip fixed to mention non-Gold Units.
  • Added a 1 turn timer to Lubberkin’s ability.
  • Fixed Skjall’s tooltip to: lose 2 strength instead of 3.

Game fixes / changes:
  • Fixed various typos in different languages.

  • Option to enable the classic W3 Gwent soundtrack was added to the menu!

Gameplay – card Strength / abilities changes:
General / Neutral:
  • Decoy will now be Fleeting.
  • Myrgtabrakke will now deal 2, 2 and 1 damage.
  • Geralt: Aard’s strength changed from 6 to 7.
  • Geralt: Aard will now target 3 units on the opposite row and move them to a higher row.
  • Adrenaline Rush will now be able to remove Resilience from units that have it, in addition to giving it to those that do not.
  • Ocvist’s countdown timer will not reset now (will only trigger once).
  • Commander’s Horn will now give a +5 buff to all non-Gold units on a chosen row.
  • Stammelford’s Tremors will now deal 2 damage to enemy non-Gold units and 1 damage to yours.
  • Dimeritium Bomb will now affect a chosen row.
  • Dimeritium Bomb will now convert Gold units to Silver or Bronze (if that was their original color) on top of resetting their strength to base value.
  • Small Golems spawned by Golem will now be Fleeting.
  • Shadows spawned by Gaunter O’Dimm will now be Fleeting.
  • Regis: Higher Vampire’s strength changed from 8 to 10.
  • Both Field Marshal Duda cards will now be playable on all 6 rows.

Gwent Patch Notes – Patch 0.8.37

This is a minor patch to fix bugs with MardroemeSpawn either a Mutagen or a Spores effect. and a few other cards.

Gwent Patch 0.8.37 Patch Notes

With update 0.8.37, our main goal was to address a set of important issues that have recently come to light, including the use of Mardroeme to get an auto-win after not choosing a target for the Mutagen card. This was not how we intended for the card to work and was something that required our immediate attention, because of the effect it was having on ranked play (players who abused this exploit have already been banned).

Other issues that have been addressed in update 0.8.37 include server errors caused by killing Morkvarg on 2 Strength and playing 3 Reinforced Ballistas and Redanian Elites. These actions should no longer cause the game to desynchronize.

  • Revamped Clear Skies: it is now called First Light and lets you choose to either remove all Weather effects or play a random Bronze unit from your deck.
  • Dagon can now choose to spawn First Light (the new version of Clear Skies).

  • Drowner is now immune to Rain.
  • New Drowner ability: Move a non-Gold opposing unit to the enemy’s Siege row.

  • It’s now possible to scroll through the Main Menu options.
  • “Cancel” button after playing a card with targeting ability removed from the UI.
  • Visual effects will no longer provide clues about the cards in your opponent’s hand/graveyard.

Gwent Patch 0.8.16 Overview

The new Gwent patch just went live, so I’m going to display some of the new things you might not know about yet right here in this post!

It looks like they’ve punched up some of the icons, and changed the Scraps icon.

Leader’s Changed to Epic

The rarity of leaders has been changed to epic. If you owned any ones you weren’t given originally, you’ll notice that you’ve gained some Scrap (600 for each). This change makes it easier to create leaders and makes them more likely to show up in Kegs.

Philippa Eilhart Nerfed

Philippa used to have 6 attack and set the strength of ALL other (including Gold) units on the row to 1. She’s now been tempered down a bit and looks like above.

Gwent Closed Beta 0.8.16 Patch Notes

Here are the new Gwent Closed Beta 0.8.16 patch notes! There will be the very sought after nerfs to the EredinPlay Eredin. leader ability which would summon a gold 10 strength Eredin token which will now be Silver and immune to Frost. This allows for the unit to be interacted with more easily.
