I have gone from winning 70% with this deck to probably 20% on a good day. Everyone is packing Igni, scorch, twisted mirror, mardroeme, lock cards, and all kinds of other shit to neutralize the axemen. Time to decommission this one. This deck just doesn’t work when the axemen are being neutralized at a 60+% rate.

Throwing in a savage bear with this deck doesn’t hurt it. It usually draws out any damaging card the opponent has, which usually helps save the axemen.

To be honest there seems to be no space for a savage bear in this deck.

I cut out Udarlyk and added operator to create a 4th axemen which meant there was no need for the Freya which opened the door for the bear, which benefits the axemen.

Why do you play Regis Higher Vampire in this deck? It doesnt seem to synergize well with the rest…

I see Regis used when teching against Spell decks that rely on limited numbers of units to boost for a round 3 win. Getting rid of 1 of the 3 units in a tight spell deck can be a powerful counter.

Could work similarly with disrupting a Trio set or even one of the Crones or Witchers. Otherwise I can’t see the value unless in a Consume deck, it seems mostly for use as anti-meta

( happy to be corrected by others who see a different value )

i rarely see the spellatell deck being played in ranked – so it would be a waste of a golden card slot to counter something which you rarely come up to – but i have to admit the trio disruption is a valid point.

This. This this this. Soooooooo many power mulligan Scoia’Tael decks right now. Oh my fuck there are so many.

It’s also helpful against Reaver Hunters.

Worst Deck I’ve ever played. I’m at rank 12 and I’ve managed a marvelous, glorious 1 win and 10 losses. Do not use this rank 10-13. Wasted 1800 scraps for this crap.

Have you ever considered that maybe, just maybe, the problem is not the deck? 😉

NO WAY dude, it’s NEVER the deck pilots fault. It’s not like this deck was built by Lifecoach, the person that won gwent challenger…

You can’t compare a competition where the winner is declared by the arbitrary taste of judges (or even worst, the public) and a tournament or league where the winner is decided by objectively winning or defeating all of his opponents.

This deck is amazing! I used it to climb from rank 9 to 13 within 2 days and there is no end in sight. I have made a few small changes to the deck though.
For example I swapped Lugos with Triss and therefore only use 2 raiders, because I always discard both of them an Morkvarg with Bran and after that there is nothing do discard anymore. Also it makes the deck a bit cheaper.
For the missing raider i included Dimeritium Shackles for other Morkvargs, Hjalmars or the occasional Kambi.

If you are interested in seeing the deck in action, I’d appreciate it if you’d check out my video and let me know what you think about it 🙂

I think you mistaken the bears and the Clan an craite Raiders. It’s supposed to be 3 bears and 1 raider.

I think what he’s going for is an easy pass on round one. If he gets two Raiders and calls Morkvarg or Udarlyk with King Bran in round one he gets a great card advantage and long rounds 2 and 3. A gamble, sure. After that his Axemen will clean up from all the frost.

Udarlyk is the one card in this deck that I can’t figure out how to make beneficial to me.

I’ve tried playing it first to maybe force a quick pass, no dice. Always follow it up with Bran, raider, raider, Morkvarg. That makes the the score 20-12, and depending on what card(s) the opponent has played I’m usually always still down, so I only come out with a one card advantage. And being that I throw the first round trying to build that advantage it serves no purpose if I draw it beyond the initial draw.

I’ve actually replaced it with operator in my deck. If I draw that first round I’ll use it on an axemen because god knows they are hard to keep alive right now. Seems I have them killed off about 30-40% of the time.

Udarlyk does seem like a cutable card after playing this list for a while, however I have been making him work by playing King Bran first round and then immediately passing or maybe playing one more card, like Donar to lock the opponents morkvarg. Then in round 2 or 3 I place Udarlyk in a frost with his other units to gain card advantage and get extra ticks for the axemen. He can also occasionally provide value by discarding a raider or helping you dig for more axemen or shield maidens.

Also idk if you are already doing this but I seems much better to play axemen after playing frost this guarantees they get big and can’t die to things like alzurs thunder. If you aren’t doing this, this should help with keeping your axemen alive if you are thing idk whats wrong because my axemen very rarely die.
