It’s my first Scoia’tael deck I started to refine and there are still couple cards to replace for sure. If you have any suggestions, make sure to post them. Make Don Blathanna Great Again!

Gameplay

Gain 3 strength whenever you play a Special Card.

Your main goal is to play around ScorchDestroy the strongest non-Gold unit(s) on the battlefield., keep on buffing your Hawker Supports and trying to carry them over to next rounds by Adrenaline RushToggle the Resilience of a non-Gold unit on the battlefield. A Resilient unit stays on the battlefield for the next round. while keeping enemy’s board in check by combination of special cards and traps. It is very similar to deck posted here on Reddit a day or couple days ago, but with bigger focus on control.

Let enemy positioning reveal their deck to you – your mobile cards go in whichever row they are the least likely to get negative Weather effect on. During early turns, you can try to bait Scorch with cards like Skaggs or weakening effects with Cow. If you see that enemy wants to commit to specific row, it’s time to place Dol Blathanna Trapper in there.

Place your Hawker Support and start buffing it with Special cards. If you manage to Adrenaline Rush your Support, you can easily pass one turn. If you have two Supports, make sure they have different power levels, just in case of Scorch-like effect.

Both Archers and Mercenaries work well with Commando. Because Mercenaries play Special cards from your deck, you don’t want to have Specials (apart from Rush) in your opening hand.

Why YaevinnImmune to Weather. Remove 1 strength from all other non-Gold units on the row. Draw a card.?

It’s another card I use to control enemy. It is often used as a trigger for Trappers and paired with them you can do -7 to the entire row while Yaevinn drops to 9 and draws you a card. Alternatively, if you want to pass a turn, having your Hawker Support buffed with Adrenaline Rush or for other reason, you can just use Yaevinn as a free card draw in already lost round. Perfect use would be for him to block Scorch. As you can see, he’s very versatile, although not the easiest to use.

Why no ScorchDestroy the strongest non-Gold unit(s) on the battlefield.?

Because of Elven MercenaryPlay a random non-Gold Special Card from your deck.. You never want to accidentally Scorch your buffed Hawker Supports. I wanted to make sure that all Specials from this unit are in some way always beneficial to me or at least never negative.

On Nature's GiftSpawn a base copy of the last non-Gold Special Card played, then banish self.

This Special is simply too good to pass on. Double Horn, Double anything and benefits Hawker Support two times. Extremely flexible and will be even better once I get my hands on AglaisResurrect a non-Gold Special Card from your graveyard. (card).

No Clear Skies?

I’m considering it. But it does very little for Hawker Supports, who will be your biggest value cards.
