  • Hello Everybody!

My name is FeelsGoodMan and this is my Reanimator Skellige deck for Ranked Gwent games.

This is a Skellige deck focused on card draw and discard while reanimating stong, resiliant threats to grind your opponent out with value. In about 90% of all games you will draw your whole deck with this set up. Card advantage wins games.

When Playing a card game, every card in your constructed deck has importance and is vital to the overall strategy of your deck. Gwent is no different.

This Skellige deck’s cards do one of 4 things: Discard, Draw, Reanimate, Or are Discard targets. I will go in depth on each individual card using these categories.

ErmionDraw 2 cards, then discard 2 cards. – Good gold discard outlet. The second best discard outlet to get cards out of your hand.

SvanrigeDraw 1 card, then discard 1 card. – Really good. Little commitment discard on an unit. Really good if there is not alot of viable discard targets in hand.

Birna BranDraw 3 cards. Keep 1 and discard the rest. – Very good spy that replaces itself and supplies cards in the graveyard. Also really good to burn your opponent’s cards if you won the previous round or force a pass.

Donar an HindarImmune to Weather. Draw 1 card and discard 1 random non-Gold card from your deck. -Same as Brina except for a few differences. Donar is silver so is effected by weather. Replaces itself and discards from the deck except discards a random non- gold Unit so you dont have to worry about discarding gold cards.

The Last WishDraw 2 cards. Discard 2 cards. – Best discard card. Draws from deck first then discard. High priority.

Priestess of FreyaResurrect a Bronze non-Permadeath unit. – Good consistant easy way to get Clan Tuirseach SkirmishersWhen resurrected, gain 3 base strength. or any card from your gravyard onto the battlefield. Allows you to squeeze as much value out of every unit.

SigrdrifaResurrect a non-Gold, non-Permadeath unit. Gain 1 strength whenever a unit is played on your side from either graveyard. – Best Reanimator on a unit. Can chain together with Priestess of FreyaResurrect a Bronze non-Permadeath unit. to get insane value.

RestorationAdd 2 to the base strength of a non-Gold unit in your graveyard (can be Permadeath), then resurrect it. – best reanimating card. Adds two base strength and can resurrect SigrdrifaResurrect a non-Gold, non-Permadeath unit. Gain 1 strength whenever a unit is played on your side from either graveyard. to combo all of the Reanimating cards to gain alot of value and am insane power swing.

Clan Dimun PirateImmune to Weather. Discard all Clan Dimun Pirates from your deck. – Should always be  one in starting hand. You should start every game with this card. Play this first to thin your deck out.

Clan an Craite RaiderResurrect when discarded. – best discard target. Grants good board presence and gives a chance to draw and discard while putting units on the field. All around great card and should be number one priority to discard.

Clan Tordarroch ShieldsmithAdd 2 base strength to a non-Gold unit on your side of the battlefield. – really good to buff Clan Tuirseach SkirmishersWhen resurrected, gain 3 base strength. if already on the board. Good to discard as well. More of a board stall though.

Clan Tuirseach SkirmishersWhen resurrected, gain 3 base strength. – One of the win conditions of the deck. You get this card high enough in Strength total to overcome your opponents. Dont be afraid to discard though. This card is also a great board stall

CoralSpawn the appropriate Weather effect on the opposite row only. and Geralt: AardMove 3 non-Gold units on the opposite row one row back. Remove 1 strength from all moved units. – you use CoralSpawn the appropriate Weather effect on the opposite row only. to apply weather to their side of the field. Then use Geralt: AardMove 3 non-Gold units on the opposite row one row back. Remove 1 strength from all moved units. to wipe any row except the seige line.

Dimeritium BombReset all units on a row to base strength. Convert Gold units on that row to Silver (or Bronze, if that was their original color). – great counter Monster weather, Monster Breedable, Northern realms gold control, Scoia’Tal Dwarfs and Neofiyte. Great card that will win games on its own.

MardroemeSpawn either a Mutagen or a Spores effect. – this is here because it counters Poor infantry cheese. When they use MardroemeSpawn either a Mutagen or a Spores effect. to buff their Infantry. You use the same spell to counter act that buff by using spores. Also is good to use on Clan Tuirseach SkirmishersWhen resurrected, gain 3 base strength. to help in other rounds. Is an ok card in the deck. Not a vital peice.

Thank you so much for reaching the end of this guide! Skellige is my favorite faction and I have alot of fun with this deck! I am always open for ways to make the deck better! Have a wonderful day and keep playing Gwent!

You need to explain how the rounds run, which cards you play and why. It will help new players as well as older players

How do you play out your rounds? Do you throw the first round like a lot of the skellige decks to get the extra value in the next two rounds?

I’m missing Birna Bran, Donar an Hindar and The Last Wish. Pretty important cards in this deck – I’m aware of that. But since I really like this fraction, I wanna continue to play it. Which card of these three would you suggest to craft in the first place? ATM I’m using Draig Bon–Dhu and Scorch in silver slots and Cerys in gold one. Queensguards work pretty well, although sometimes it’s really hard to dig for them.

Hei man, nice deck. Don´t you think Queens Guard are much much better than Clan An Craite Rider??

I actually used to play with queens guard. They are an amazing unit! But what i found is that because the amount of discard i have i would discard queens guard but ultimately loose board presence while getting card advantage. So i wouldnt have enough numbers to win rounds. Clan an craite raiders helps the deck have an amazing discard target whils still playing units and forcing cards out of your opponent.
